Went for morning service yesterday at the COR. It was certainly a wonderful session, and there was something that the speaker was sharing, about how he had a serious knee injury as well as swollen eyes in a short span of 2 mths...and grew to realise what he has always taken for granted. The ability to walk, or even to blink your eyes, these seem to be really normal things that we do...but we must never that it for granted. We are always in an endless pursuit for whats far ahead. But have we ever wondered what would happen tomorrow?

Life is fragile.

Therefore, we should always give thanks for everything that we have, be it something as simple as walking. for every moment that I am fit and well, I thank God for it. In the noon, I met my long time bud, Guangsheng who have have known since Primary 1?! Had a good time chatting; and definitely an enjoyable time. Haha, I was really tickled by the part where we were taking pictures of the Beard Papa's cheese stick while taking the escalator; it it looked as if we were sneaking a shot at the girls in skirts above us. Wah lau. It would have made us look like perverts. He was like, "Eh I am holding the cheese sticks nicely now, quickly take a pic!" But I just said" Aiyah later can, now people might think that we are taking photo of their backside le!" lol!

That's the infamous escalator pic!

I guess I can always relate to Guangsheng in about christian perspectives, as he's been a christian for years...thanks bro for the positive feedback! On our way home, he dropped by to watch FF7 AC at my home...nice movie! The CG are fantastic....every nuance of the facial expression was so realistic, kudos to the creators of FF7, who spent years to create this movie. Sadly it is not showing in singapore theatres though...=/ Otherwise the response wold be great. I know many fans of the Final Fantasy series...so it would definitely be a hit amongst CG lovers!

Now, FF Spirits of Within, EAT this!!

Hmmm..had a good weekend, spent time with my buddies at the esplanade where there's a band performing...its music sounds a lot like F.I.R , but the female vocalist was quite..."____" Let's just say she needs more vocal training. -__-;

My bro, Vince was really ecstatic as he will commissioned as and officer in about a week's time. Passed me tickets to his OCS Commissioning parade...

After that we went to Marina Square where I did my usual stuff...lol Drumming. =0 Oh, and I am tasting KFC for the first time in years...erm..not years but for quite a while. 5 mths? Really am happy for my bro, after 10 mths+ of gruelling training, he finally made it! Great job, soldier.

Haha. Happy OCT.

Ahemm...well I am on "OFF" today...to see a flat unit that my parents were confirming to purchase. Met grandparents and Dad's friend who, in fact stays in the same flat as the one that we are purchasing...Geez, I'm shifting, away from khatib into yishun. lol. Seems quite alright, the place that is. Anyway its quite convenient geographically though. The mrt is near and the lift drops us right at our doorstep. "Mai hiam buay pai" le.

Hmmm. Finally, I'll be able to do my tooth braces. Don't ask me why I'm planning for it only now. Gosh, I've been thinking of that for ages. Pocket's tight, that's why. I'm gonna set this right once and for all. -__-

This also means that Khatib Camp would be a lot further away from my home. Crap. Anyway, its not like I'm shifting immediately, so I guess I'll just a step at a time.

A NEW environment. A different home. perhaps a new start for my family too?

Although, I'll miss this dear old neighbourhood of mine.

Woah! Yesterday was certainly a challenging and tiring day! COS duty again, haiz. Just don't like to do all this stuff, but I don't have a choice, do I? I always find myself working like a horse on my friday COS duties....:/ I'll always be occupied with lots of things to do; my parade state can be crapped up as well. Geez. Theres's always a lingering fear fear that I might "kana" Extras...In case you don't know, it means more Guard/COS duties for the month as a form of punishment. You can practically get Extras for any for of "misconduct". Note that this can be a very subjective issue. If anyone bigger than you see you no feel good, then congrats, you've earned yourself a ticket to the movie....Hmmm, let me list down a couple of possibilities:

- walking to the cookhouse in a balonglong way...see rsm walking down from the opposite direction
- do parade state wrongly more than 2 times..and submit it late (chief will hound you)
-ARGUE with any officer or spec
-Arriving late for official events like "Marathon run"

These are only some of the possibilities, I am sure my bunkmates will be able to think of even more...lol

Since when was life such when we live on the edge? "Extras" So what, you may say but let me tell you. It does something that is so devastating. It robs you from your freedom. Freedom has never been that important till we entered the army. There's little time each week for family and friends. One day to each? There's so much to do but so little time!

Thinking of maintaing a BGR reletionship? Tough I'll say, but almost impossible if you are describing about getting a girlfriend. You live your lives in parallel, where everything is so different. It's like being in 2 different worlds...There isn't an interception to meet at, nothing much common to share about. While we stay "stagnant" in camp. those gals out there are meeting new people and experiencing life differently. Bottomline, I feel that perhaps this should be a time to reflect, to think about what we want in our lives.

When its time for me to ord, I hope to be a person with aspirations, not the confused being I am now.

Cest' la Vie....

More about tonite, met Ruiqin and Minghui and we settled at TCC Millenia Walk and had some chillout time...:)

Ordered iced mocha cafe latte...Good!

Today, I went through a myriad of thoughts...basically I was wondering if I misunderstood the term: Friendship. Well, life itself can be disappointing...especially during times where you are proven wrong about things.

Self-centredness.

If ns life really turning us into unfeeling, self-interested people?

A University professor challenged his students with this question.
"Did God create everything that exists?"

A student bravely replied, "Yes he did!"

"God created everything?" The professor asked.

"Yes sir", the student replied.

The professor answered, "If God created everything, then God created
evil, since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works
define who we are, then God is evil."

The student became quiet before such an answer.

The professor, quite pleased with himself, boasted to the students
that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.

Another student raised his hand and said, "Can I ask you a question,
professor?"

"Of course", replied the professor.

The student stood up and asked, "Professor does cold exist?"

"What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never
been cold?"

The students snickered at the young man's question.

The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy.

Absolute zero (-460F) is the total absence of heat; all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist.

We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat."

The student continued, "Professor, does darkness exist?"

The professor responded, "Of course it does."

The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not
exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light.

Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present."

Finally the young man asked the professor, "Sir, does evil exist?"

Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course as I have already said. We see it everyday. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil.

To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist sir, or at least is does not exist unto itself.

Evil is simply the absence of, created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart.

It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat, or the darkness that comes when there is no light."

The professor sat down.

The young man's name -- Albert Einstein
